Why am I mentoring students, why did I write a book about auditioning, why am I creating online audition courses??
I have been blessed perform in front of 30 million viewers each week as the runner up on the first season of American Idol. I've toured all over the world singing and acting for sold out crowds. I've had 6 principal roles in Broadway Musicals and plays in NYC and I regularly pop up on your TV screen as "Lil Sweet" in Dr. Peppers national commercial campaign. I am blessed to be paid very well for what I do...so why this, and why now?
Because I live for that moment when the "lightbulb" snaps on above my students head and they "get it". The passion I have for creating joy, relief, and excitement in my students is on the same level as the joy, passion, and commitment I get from being a veteran performer.
It's really that simple...I mean...yes, I like being paid for my services (LOL!)- but I love giving back to a community of people that has given me so much over the years!
